ScanTidy Privacy Policy

The short version. ScanTidy has no accounts and no logins. Your plans, streaks, before/after photos, reminders, and zones live only on your device. The one time anything leaves your phone is when you build a tidy plan or generate an AI preview — that sends a single photo, stripped of all location and camera data, with no name and no account attached. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we use no tracking or analytics SDKs.

Who we are

ScanTidy (“we,” “us”) is an iOS app that helps you tidy a space by showing a calm “after” of your room and a step-by-step plan to get there. This policy explains what data the app handles and what leaves your device.

No account, no identifiers

ScanTidy does not require — or offer — an account, sign-in, name, email, or any user identifier. We never create or collect one. Nothing you do in the app is tied to your identity.

What stays on your device

The core app runs entirely on your device. The following are stored locally on your iPhone and are never transmitted to us:

Your tidy plans, checklists, and progress
Your streaks and zones
Your before/after photo gallery
Your reminders and settings

Because this data lives only on your device, you remove it by deleting the item in the app or deleting the app itself.

The one thing that leaves your device: a single photo

ScanTidy sends a photo to the cloud in exactly two cases, and only the one photo you chose:

To build a tidy plan grounded in your actual room, and
To generate an AI “after” preview of your room.

Before that photo ever leaves your phone, the app re-renders it to a fresh image and strips all metadata — location (GPS), camera details, and timestamps. Only the pixels are sent. The upload carries no name and no account, so it cannot be linked to you.

How that photo is handled

Our processing service is stateless: it passes the image to the AI model and returns the result, and does not store your photo.
The AI model provider (a paid tier) does not use your image to train or improve its models, and does not have people read it. The provider keeps a short-lived log only for abuse-detection and safety, for a limited retention window.
Your photo is never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used to build a profile.

No tracking, no ads, no analytics

ScanTidy contains no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no analytics SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we collect no usage or diagnostic data off your device.

Purchases

ScanTidy is free to download and use. If optional purchases are offered in a future update, they are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account — we never receive or store your payment details, and Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Children

ScanTidy is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because we collect no personal information and require no account, no such information is gathered.

Your choices and rights

Since your content is stored on your device and uploads carry no identity, you stay in control: delete any photo or plan in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all local data. If you have questions about your privacy, contact us below.
